Ania Korszun, PhD, MD, FRCPsych

Professor Ania Korszun Ania Korszun is Professor of Psychiatry and Education at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. Her research focuses on mood disorders and particularly on the interface of depression and stress with other medical conditions. She is currently working in collaboration with colleagues from surgery and oncology on predictors of psychological wellbeing in cancer and trauma patients.

Professor Korszun is the Academic Lead for Psychiatry Education at Barts, and Chair of the Education Forum at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is conducting research on undergraduate teaching and assessment of medical professionalism, the effectiveness of interdisciplinary teaching of clinical skills in psychiatry, and overcoming stigmatising attitudes to mental health.

Ali Ajaz, MBBS, BSc, MRCPsych

Dr Ali AjazDr Ali Ajaz is a higher trainee in forensic psychiatry in London and also an honorary clinical lecturer in psychiatry at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University London. He has completed a fellowship in medical education at the North East London Foundation Trust and a post graduate certificate in medical education at the University of Bedfordshire. He is a former CPD Online Podcast Editor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists and his research interests include mentally disordered offenders, cultural psychiatry and undergraduate teaching.
